Why Rapidgator ?

Decided to write a little story about rapidgator.

Zippyshare/Mega/MediFire/etc are good filehostings just for your one-time leech needs of small files (usually limited up to 100mb) because they delete files after 30 days of inactivity. Rapidgator (as well as UL.to and some others) keeps files for YEARS.

Also Zippyshare, Mega, MediFire, DropBox etc - have limits in max file size, overall space for files, slow uploading speed (no FTP support) unlike Rapidgator, ul.to, etc.

After some abuses from copyright-owners to Mega, Dropbox, Mediafire, Zippyshare they delete uploader's account and all uploaded files, unlike other filehostings.

But in this case, I have to keep reuploading everything every couple of months for another 1-2 leechers that vanish asap they get what they missed.

It's perfectly possible to download from Rapidgator as free user - yes, it's slow, it has cooldown, but still possible.

All those nubbish "omg, I get virus warning" - it's just another filehost site (quite popular & reliable one w/o profit shit or smth), not warez or porn site, you don't have to download and run some executables, you just retrieve uploaded packed files with audio content there. Usually, antivirus alerts you not about Rapidgator itself, but various advertising popup windows within it.

So get a bit of brains and add an exception rule in yer mighty anti-virus software or just uninstall it (it's pretty much of a virus by itself, slowing down and wtf doing/lurking in the netz in the background - just avoid truly unreliable sites).

Torrents are red flags for ISP and others. Torrenting carries risks. If you torrent copyrighted material, there’s a chance the authorities will catch and punish you. Governments and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) work to make life difficult for people who torrent media files and pirate software. Some ISPs, in the UK for instance, block access to some torrenting-related websites. It’s incredibly easy for ISPs and copyright holders to catch people who haven’t taken precautions sharing copyrighted material. Finding this information within any torrenting client software is easy. Copyright holders and ISPs therefore only need to monitor the activity on popular files to be led straight to the IP addresses of those downloading the files or making them available to others. This is enough information to lead to the front door of the person with the internet connection involved. It is also often sufficient to kick off a legal challenge. Copyright trolls track down people downloading copyrighted material. Some work independently. Others have arrangements with copyright holders, who support their efforts to secure settlements with people who have downloaded their copyrighted material illegally.

Basically, when you download torrents you are a seeder yourself which makes it possible for others who are downloading the same torrent to get your IP with a single click. (yea, single click not joking). This leads to our second point i.e. getting problems with the law !! yes in places like the USA, Germany, Austria, the UK where content protection laws are quite strong and police or copyright trolls actually take action on such stuff. This has happened many times and they basically find you using your IP that gets leaked while you download torrents.

uploadboy.com isn't useful?
Many PLGs are not support rapidgator now.

i bought rapidgator premium account but, download speed is slow as fuck! (about 30-200kb/s) why!

i also have premium, but maximum speed is equal to my bandwidth. ask RG support, they answer quickly

thanks, I'll ask Rapidgator, but it's probably provider's probrem.

What about torrents (or e-mule links) for scene packs? They are too large (>30GB). Only 2(!) premium generators support more than 500-800 MB parts, but Bandwidth limited to 5-10 GB per day. Today 0GB (servers is down, #!@$$@$).

premium genereator works bad. But I can't download large files on free rapidgator's account (direct(!) speed less than using TOR(!), disconnects on direct rapidgator's downloads are very often). Can you upload labels packs and scene packs on some other file sharings (mega, mediafire) or torrents?

i agree ... im also having DISCONNECTS when trying to download for free from RG ... like you showed in your video ...

it seems RG is having ... a LOT of disconnects when we are downloading for free from RG ... i think we should write to RG support ... so that they fix these disconnects ...

did you read text above? provided options aren't possible/handy. buy premium to download quickly.

Free download does with low speed not works fine for me. Site promise to download one file every 2 hours. But really 1-2-3 per day. Аfter such anti-advertising do not want to risk my money. Do you buy a program, the free version of which is buggy?

Get the advantages of premium-account now!:

  • Download speed with no limits
  • Unlimited simultaneous downloads
  • No queues for file download
  • No ads
  • Download files up to 5 Gigabytes
  • Ease of use

i have premium for some years, and have no problems at all.
also you can try jDownloader for free automated downloads, or Linux plowdown (anticaptcha profile needed)

>Download speed with no limits
My using provider restricts download speed of rapidgator :-(

The downloads keep failing. And when they do there is nog way to restart. You have to wait and do it all over again and risk a fail at 700mb again. Speed and cooldown is something i can live with, but those fails are intollerable!

try to download using some software, not in browser, like jdownloader, etc

Can you please make a option to download with torrent, and if your at it also a RSS feed for automatic downloading in a torrent client?

no, i can't

Why not? it is so much easier, no limits and no problems with that %&@#$ site

And, no reuploading because the files are removed

Torrents do not generate revenue, unlike Rapidgator, which is why the adm uses RG, probably helps fund the hosting of this domain and server :)

Torrents are insecure, I don't want to expose my IP or my server's one. Moreover, most visitors of this site want to stay anonymous while downloading stuff here.

I can totally understand wanting to keep your 'home' IP private, but the server is already exposed via a simple whois.
Anyway, I can say I have no problems with RG as a free user, yes the speed is slow, but a simple router reset = a new IP, so no waiting 2 hours between free download links :p
If I wanted to mass leech I would certainly buy a premium RG account - Huge thanks for the Fusion Birthday Video 1997 - It was the last big rave I attended and I even had the VHS but an ex-girlfriend now has it :( So it was great to get a decent copy for my archive!

Simple whois won't give you any useful info now :))))
Enjoy.

Don't get me wrong, i like the site, i like what you do but i think it a lot less of a pain in the ass to download with torrents, (or maybe via newsleechers or something)

I totally agree with you, torrents are red flags for ISP and others. i used this site since more than 3 years, no disconnections, just get a fucking premium account.

Just wanted to say thanks for the hard work it takes maintaining this. You've helped me track down a bunch of shit that I'd lost or worn out over the years. How would I go about contributing stuff I have that isn't up there or is better quality etc? Pay it back etc Anyway thanks again. Absolute legends.

Thanks a lot for the files you keep stored here i used this site many years ago then had a family and so on now i am able to have some freetime enjoying downloading old tracks ☺
For those complaining about downloading speeds try deepbrid.com it costs 6.00 euro a month and is very fast for downloading from rapidgator often a few minutes maximum.

The site never let's me download anything I tryed so many times with different files and it doesn't work the comes up with download error and won't let me access download

Every download I and download it always comes with an error page
Error 429 too many connections it says it uses and doesn't work I try other downloading sites from now on

If a download is coming to the same ip already, it gives you that error

Once every few month I pay for a monthly sub and download new stuff. No problems, full speeds, full hard drives. $14.99 for GB's of music. I'd say that is a bargain people. Just go Premium for a bit and cancel when done. Simples! :)

Thats right, it costs like two packs of smokes, and saves a lot of time spended while trying to download it for free...
